How To Install A Solar Inverter And Connect It To AC Power?

Preparation: Tools and Safety Confirmation

Before installing the solar inverter, prepare tools such as screwdrivers, electrical tape, and a multimeter. Ensure the power is off before operation. Check that the inverter model matches the solar panel and confirm that the mains voltage matches the inverter's output parameters. It is recommended that two people work together to avoid the risks of working alone at heights.

Wiring Steps: From Solar Panel to Grid

DC Side Connection: Connect the positive and negative terminals of the solar panel (after series connection) to the inverter's DC input terminal, ensuring reverse polarity.

AC Side Connection: Connect the inverter's AC output terminal to the grid connection switch in the distribution box using an insulated cable.

Grounding Treatment: All equipment must be individually grounded. The grounding resistance is recommended to be less than 4Ω.

Communication Line: If monitoring is required, connect a Wi-Fi or RS485 module to the router.

Debugging and Acceptance: Illuminating Green Energy

Before powering on, use a multimeter to check the insulation of each line. Initial startup is recommended during periods of sufficient sunlight. Observe the inverter indicator lights: a solid green light indicates successful grid connection; a flashing yellow light requires checking parameter settings. After running for 24 hours, check the temperature of each joint. If there is abnormal overheating, tighten them again.
